Asian-Australian Actress, Lia Reutens is a multi-disciplined sensation for the Stage, Screen and Circus.
Lia is a graduate from Queensland University of Technology QUT with a Bachelor of Fine Arts: ACTING. She has worked with prominent Australian directors such as: Michael Futcher (The Crucible),
David Berthold (Blackrock), Kate Cherry (Our Town) and Bille Brown (Macbeth).
Lia has treaded the boards with State Theatre Company SA, NIDA and toured extensively throughout Australia performing in “Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes”. She has graced our TV screens in ABC’s award winning teen drama “Dance Academy” and has also worked with ABC,
Westpac, Commonwealth Bank and St.George.
Her 13year obsession with R.A.D classical ballet morphed into a rebellious love affair with the Circus Arts. She performed regularly in Brisbane with Vulcana Women’s Circus and now specialises in Aerial Silks, Static Trapeze and Acro-balancing in Sydney. Lia is a trained physical theatre performer and has danced Butoh in Japan with renowned Akaji Maro of Dairakudakan.
